CJRS values the input of all coaches and offer resources to schools and individuals to improve coaching skills and deal with some of the difficulties that may arise.

CJRS hosts a small-blacks coaches course which is provided by Waikato Rugby Development Officers (RDO) prior to the season starting.

CJRS also hosts the associated referee course which is a requirement for all referees past 8th grade for tackle games.
